Faculty of International Relations Presents Strategic Plan for 2026–2030
The Faculty of International Relations at the Prague University of Economics and Business has introduced a new strategic document that sets the direction for the faculty’s educational and research activities for the period 2026–2030. The document builds on the faculty’s previous strategy and is based on the Strategic Plan of the Prague University of Economics and Business. At the same time, it responds to major social and technological changes that are shaping contemporary higher education.
The faculty’s main objective is to continuously improve the quality of education and research in an open international environment. The faculty aims to educate responsible, adaptable, and flexible graduates who are prepared for dynamic changes in the labour market, including the impacts of digitalisation and the development of artificial intelligence.
The strategy is based on four key priorities:
- the first priority is a fundamental innovation of study programmes and the modernisation of teaching methods so that they respond to the needs of a new generation of students as well as to the demands of professional practice
- the second priority is the systematic support of talented academic staff and the development of the faculty’s human capital
- another important area is strengthening an open international academic environment, the faculty aims to further develop international cooperation, support student and staff mobility, and participate in international research projects
- the fourth priority is to increase the societal impact of the faculty, for example, through lifelong learning, cooperation with institutions and companies, and active participation in public expert discussions
The strategic plan thus confirms the ambition of the Faculty of International Relations to be a significant centre of education and research in international economic and political relations and to further strengthen its position within both the Czech and international academic environments.
At its meeting on 12 March 2026, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of International Relations approved the Strategic Plan for Educational and Research Activities for 2026–2030 and the Annual Implementation Plan of this Strategic Plan for 2026.
