We welcomed new doctoral students to the FIR
On October 1, the matriculation ceremony for new doctoral students at the Faculty of International Relations took place at VŠE.
Six students enrolled in the program and were welcomed by Dean Martina Jiránková, who wished them much success in both their research and their studies. During the ceremony, the new doctoral candidates took the matriculation oath and became full members of the VŠE academic community.
Doctoral studies at FIR and their development are among the faculty’s key priorities. In addition to a regular monthly stipend, PhD students also have access to extraordinary scholarships, funding for travel to prestigious international conferences, incentive systems supporting scientific work at individual departments, post-doc support programs offering attractive salary conditions, internships at prestigious foreign universities, and other opportunities. Beyond the material conditions, the exceptional variety, flexibility, and creative value of working in an academic environment are also major advantages of doctoral studies, which can prove invaluable from a long-term life perspective.
We wish all the new doctoral students the best of luck!
