The FMV Mini-Academy Has Launched: Young Students Experienced Their First Matriculation and a Journey Around the World with Hugo the Snail
On Tuesday, October 13, the Faculty of International Relations officially launched its new educational project – the FIR Mini-Academy. Children from the University Kindergarten Lvíčata enjoyed their very first university experience, which introduced them to the academic environment and cultural diversity. The significance of the event was highlighted by the presence of a Czech Television crew, who captured the entire program on camera.
The first day at the university began with proper academic traditions. During the ceremonial matriculation, the young students were officially welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, doc. Ing. Martina Jiránková, Ph.D. Each child received their very first student index book, where they will collect thematic stickers for successfully completing workshops throughout the academic year.
Immediately after the matriculation, the children attended their first workshop, prepared by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The program, titled “Hugo Discovers the World”, took the preschoolers on an adventurous journey across the planet. Together with Hugo the snail, they explored various countries, practiced foreign greetings, and discovered new tastes and customs. Through playful activities, they learned about the differences between various parts of the world, as well as the things that all people have in common.
The journey towards their first university diploma has thus successfully begun. In November, the children can look forward to the next workshop titled “What Journey Does Our Food Take?”, hosted by the Department of International Business.
