Alumni start-up evening for beginning (and not only!) entrepreneurs organized by FIR Alumni Club took place on Wednesday, May 22. It became a unique opportunity for both FIR students and Alumni to take a look under the hood of one of the Czech pioneering incubators led by Karel Janeček.
The regional finale of student competition L´Oréal Brandstorm 2019 took place on Tuesday, April 16 in Bratislava. This year’s edition of the competition was mainly focused on technology innovations (online, offline, digital, connected technologies) that would bring a massive breakthrough and head the future of skin care towards customers taking care of their health.
The finale of Management Consulting Challenge 2019 organized by EY company in cooperation with Czech glass design company LASVIT took place on Thursday, April 18. FIR team consisting of Jana Hôrková, Jakub Kalmár a Michal Janko took the first place and therefore won the challenge.

The Czech-Austrian ‘Aktion programm’ (Aktion AT-CZ) is funding a first time project in which researchers and students from the Department of International Business of the University of Economics, Prague, are teaming up with their counterparts from the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, Eisenstadt, to carry out a joint research and scientific writing project. The project is scheduled to last from February 11 to September 30, 2019.
The 11th edition of the European day at VŠE took place on April 17, 2019 in the premises of the Academic club. This year’s topic was revolving around revision of Czech membership in the EU.The three panels were discussing development of the Czech Republic’s positions in the EU after 15 years of its membership, the potential that hasn’t been yet used to the full, and further directions of integration process as well as the country’s role in it.

The Department of Romance Languages FIR VŠE in cooperation with Philosophy Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno and Economic University in Bratislava organized the XII. international student conference „América Latina Hoy“. Students from Cyril and Methodius University in Trnava and interns from Spain participated in the conference as well.
