Opening Ceremony of the New MPA in Sports Diplomacy

On Friday, October 2, VŠE hosted the opening ceremony of the MPA in Sports Diplomacy program, which the Faculty of International Relations at VŠE delivers in cooperation with the Czech Olympic Committee.

The program was opened by Martina Jiránková, Dean of FIR VŠE. This was followed by presentations on professional experience from Roman Kumpošt, Vice President of the Czech Olympic Committee, and Jozef Liba, Secretary General of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee. The program also included a roundtable discussion moderated by Jana Havrdová, with the participation of Jiří Kejval, President of the Czech Olympic Committee, and Filip Šuman, President of the International Floorball Federation. Zbyněk Dubský then introduced the topic of sports diplomacy in the context of the soft power concept.

The event was attended not only by students of the new cohort, but also by graduates and students of previous cohorts. The whole meeting took place in a very friendly and inspiring atmosphere.
