Who is Filip J. Scherf?

Filip J. Scherf is a researcher, author, and security policy analyst focusing on Russia and European security, with extensive international experience from the USA, the UK, Brussels, Russia, and the Czech Republic. He currently serves as a researcher at the University of St Andrews, is a Europaeum Scholar at the University of Oxford, a Research Associate at the Cambridge Margaret Beaufort Institute, teaches political risk at Charles University, and works as Research Director at the Princeps Risk Intelligence Institute. Previously, he was a regional correspondent for the Economist Intelligence Unit and a political risk consultant in Russia. He has also gained experience at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University, RAND in Cambridge (UK), Eurasia Group in London, and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels. His debut book, The Lost Land: The Story of Modern Russia, was published by Host and immediately became a bestseller.
