Change the World Through Movement: Student Competition Offers CZK 100,000 for the Best Healthy Lifestyle Ideas

Do you have an idea that could get people moving or help them live healthier lives? Enter it in the Change the World Through Movement (Změň svět pohybem) competition by 31 October 2026. The three best projects will share CZK 100,000 (around EUR 4,000).

The student competition is organised by the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University (FTVS UK), Prague’s leading sports science faculty, together with its partners. It is looking for interesting and inspiring projects in physical activity, sport and healthy living, and it is open to students of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) as well.

You don’t need to study sport to take part. A good idea also needs a solid plan to bring it to life, and that is where a background in economics or business can give you an edge.

Who Can Enter

  • bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students at any university in the Czech Republic,
  • students of tertiary professional schools and secondary school students aged 18 or over,
  • individuals or teams of up to three; projects can be written in Czech, Slovak or English.

How to Apply

Fill in the online application form on the competition website and upload your project as an 8–10 page PDF.

  • Application deadline: 31 October 2026, midnight
  • Finalists announced: 13 November 2026
  • Final: 1 December 2026

The Road to the Final

The jury will select six to eight projects for the final. Thanks to the competition’s partners, the top three projects will share prize money totalling CZK 100,000.

Last year’s edition showed that you don’t have to come from a sports faculty to win: the winning project came from Brno University of Technology.

Full details and the application form are available at the website of the competition zmensvetpohybem.cz. Questions can be sent to zmensvetpohybem@ftvs.cuni.cz.
