Results of the election of the candidate for appointment as Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the Prague University of Economics and Business

At its meeting on 23 November 2023, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of International Relations of the Prague University of Economics and Business elected doc. Ing. Martina Jiránková, Ph.D. as a candidate for appointment as Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of the Prague University of Economics and Business.

Doc. Ing. Martina Jiránková, Ph.D. has been the Head of the Department of International Economic Relations since its establishment in January 2021 (she has been the Head of the Department of World Economy since September 2013). From 2014 to 2016 she was the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of International Relations for Science and Doctoral Studies. She joined the Department in 2007 and was appointed Associate Professor in World Economy in 2013. She lectures courses in International economics and has also long been interested in the changing role of nation-states in the era of globalization (she was the principal investigator of a postdoctoral grant focusing on this issue). She was Director of the Centre for European Studies at the University of Economics in Prague. In 2019 and 2020, she was a member of the research team of the TA ČR project entitled Targeting investment support in the Czech Republic with regard to the expected impacts of technological change. In 2020, she was a member of the research team of the TAČR project entitled Oil price decline: Research on the impact on producer countries in the EU neighbourhood.
