Daniel Houska will be the new Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs from 1 April

Mgr. Ing. Daniel Houska, Ph.D. will become the new Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at FIR. He will replace the current Vice-Dean doc. Pavel Hnát. Doc. Pavel Hnát will move to the position of Vice-Rector to the new team of doc. Petr Dvořák, who will take up the position of Rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business.

Daniel Houska comes from the position of assistant professor at the Department of Corporate and European Law. He has also worked in the recycling industry – he was a member of the global Sustainability Initiative project responsible for sustainable finance for the Hong Kong Stock Exchange parent company, led an international team of experts in the implementation of one of the strategic investments and was appointed a member of the commissions at the Ministry of Environment and Economy and the Chamber of commerce. Since its inception, he has held the position of Sherpa in the European Commission’s Advisory Board on Sustainable Finance (Platform on Sustainable Finance). He also has several years of experience in senior roles at EY (assurance) and PwC (M&A consulting).

Daniel Houska studied two programs at Masaryk University (Economics and Management and Law and Legal Science). He defended his doctorate at the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Prague in the program International Economic Relations.
