A team of students from FIR won the competition “Junior Marketer of the Year”

On Thursday, 16th May 2024, a gala evening was held in the Theatre Hall of the Lávka Club to announce the results of the 19th year of the Marketer of the Year 2023 competition.

This year, for the twelfth time, a student category for university students was announced – “Junior Marketer of the Year” on the topic “How to successfully communicate a local, regional product (product, service, tourist area, local brand) on the domestic market”.

The winner of the competition was a two-member student team from the Faculty of International Relations of the Prague University of Economics: Štěpán Kutmon and Jakub Rožboud. The team prepared a case study as part of their minor specialisation in Commercial Communication on the topic “Communication strategy of the company Džemy Vališ”. It was a low-budget communication campaign.

A total of 33 student teams from 10 universities from the Czech Republic and Slovakia took part in the competition. All proposals were evaluated by a jury of marketing experts from both theory and practice.

It is also worth mentioning that student Jakub Rožbout is also a member of the team that qualified for the grand finale of L’Oréal’s Brandstorm 2024 competition, which will take place on 21st June 2024 in London.
