3rd place in the international Edcom Graduation Competition. Congratulations to Ing. Nikol Peterska!

Nikol Peterská, with her master thesis on “Brand Characters’ Influence on Perceived Brand Personality”, took 3rd place in the international Edcom Graduation Competition, which recognizes the best master theses related to commercial communication or advertising in the “Master Category”.

In his master thesis under the supervision of Ing. Petr Kral, Ph.D., Head of the Department of International Business, she dealt with the discovery of the relationship between brand mascots and perceived brand personality. She examined the differences between how human and animal mascots are perceived – specifically focusing on the mascots of Alza, CSOB, Moneta Money Bank and Air Bank. The paper provides new insights into the role of mascots and formulates recommendations for marketers. You can read the thesis HERE.

“There is no excuse not to give it a try. The competition is not too time consuming, creating the poster is fun and similar to preparing a defense. If you are writing a thesis in marketing, commercial communication or advertising, definitely go for it. Good luck!”

We heartily congratulate the student and hope that she will be an inspiration for other graduates.
