28th October 2017: The Third China-CEE Economic Forum in Chinese Jinan

The 3rd year of “China- CEE Economic Forum” took place on 28th October 2017 in Chinese Jinan (in Shandong province), that is organised by the Faculty of International Relations and Shandong University of Finance and Economics (SDUFE) and this time also with the support of Shandong Economic Theory and Policy Research Centre. On behalf of the Faculty of International Relations attended the conference doc. Ing. Martina Jiránková, Ph.D (head od Department of World Economy), ), Ing. Jakub Jedlinský and Ing. Lukáš Krupka (postgraduate students from the Faculty of International Relations) and Ing. Gabriel Hasík (postgraduate student from the Faculty of International Relations and the colleague of the Centre for Asian Studies). Organizationally, the event was organised by the Centre for Asian Studies. The Chinese side was represented by professors from SDUFE, especially with the contribution focused on the brunch structure of economy, changing competitiveness of Chinese and Central European exports with respect to corporation within initiative One Belt, One Road and the current themes connected with so called Industry 4.0.

The first Chinese and Czech Economic Forum was held in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, China, the 23 May 2015, on a basis of the cooperation agreement in research of 2014 signed between the Faculty of International Relations (FIR) and Shandong University of Finance and Economics (SDUFE).

2nd year was organised by the Faculty of International Relations in Prague.

The Faculty of International Relations with SDUFE (which belongs to partnershi p schools of VŠE) has been developing cooperation since 2009. The corporation involves regular student exchanges and the mobility of teachers, which was in 2015 strengthened. Two teachers of FIR go teaching intensive courses at SDUFE each semester. Another way around, teachers from this Chinese university come to the Faculty of International Relations. The collective workshops and conferences are organised based on the agreement on the corporation in research, which was made in 2014.

SDUFE was established in 2011 by uniting two universities: Shandong Economic University (established in 1952, one of the first economics universities in province) and Shandong University of Finance (1986). In these days SDUFE offers 62 subjects of study, in which study 33 thousand of students. Next to the standard economic subjects is also taught law and pedagogy.

Jinan is the capital city of Shandong, that belongs to the most populous and the most developed provinces of East China. The number of inhabitants has reached almost 100 million. There are two very important places in Shandong – the seaport Qingdao and the birthplace of Confucius, Qufu.
