UTEK: Study Trip to Brussels

UTEK students took a three-day study trip to Brussels, during which they had the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the workings of European and international institutions. The program offered a combination of expert lectures, discussions with institutional representatives, and time to explore the city itself.

During the visit, students toured the European Commission, the European Parliament, NATO, the European Economic and Social Committee, and the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU. They met with representatives from each institution and discussed current topics in European politics and international relations.

Topics discussed included EU-US relations, housing affordability in the European Union, critical raw materials, the functioning of European institutions, and the promotion of Czech interests in Brussels. This gave students the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world practice and better understand how European politics works in an everyday context.

In addition to the academic program, participants also enjoyed the atmosphere of Brussels, the sunny weather, and the time spent together outside the institutions.

From the study trip, the students are taking away not only new knowledge and experience, but also a wealth of experiences, inspiration, and memories.
