The Ministry of Finance and the Faculty of International Relations Strengthen Their Cooperation
On May 13, a ceremonial signing of a memorandum of cooperation took place between the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic and the Faculty of International Relations (FIR) at the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE). The memorandum was signed by Minister of Finance Zbyněk Stanjura and Dean Martina Jiránková. Jarolím Antal, Director of the Center for European Studies at FIR, was also present at the signing.
The collaboration between the faculty and the ministry is not new—experts from the Ministry of Finance have long been actively involved in teaching and various projects. However, the memorandum marks an important step forward, affirming a shared commitment to systematically bridging academic education with practical experience.
Special thanks go to Mr. Zbyněk Smetana, Director of the EU Affairs Department at the Ministry of Finance, who initiated and has continuously supported the development of this partnership.
The new phase of cooperation will focus, among other things, on the newly launched master’s program Sustainable Transformation and European Competitiveness, the expansion of student internships, and other educational activities in the fields of European policy and sustainable development.
We look forward to joint projects and the opportunity to help prepare future professionals for careers in public administration and European institutions!
