Students of Retail Marketing won the POPAI STUDENT AWARDS 2019 Competition
The eleventh year of the prestige POPAI AWARDS competition for the best in-store realization as part of the program of the international event POPAI DAY 2019, which took place on 21 November 2019 in the Congress Center of the TOP Hotel Praha. Students of the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics won the first place and the other two teams of students from the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Prague were situated on the second and third place. Besides, a total of 10 student teams participated in the competition have won for the sixth time in a row. The jury awarded two third places.
The students elaborated on a proposal of the In-store communication campaign according to the brief of JT International for Camel Essential cigarettes. The first three places were the following teams of our students:

Note: the project awarded on a 2nd place was submitted by the team representative in agreement with the team members.
The expert jury evaluated the proposed solution of the students in terms of the chosen strategy and links to brand communication, the creativity and innovativeness of the solution and also the elaboration into other media types outside the In-store communication. The appraisal included the attractiveness of the solution for the target group as well as a comprehensive impression.
The success of the students in this competition proved the usefulness of the interconnection of theoretical and practical knowledge in the course named Retail marketing in processing a case study commissioned by a particular company from practice. Within the framework of cooperation, lectures and lectures at the given subject are top experts from the field of consumer behavior, CRM, sales promotion, in-store marketing, retail audit, on-line communication, and trading.
