New Associate Professor Petr Janeček received his appointment decree
On Tuesday, 30 May, the Vice-Rector of the University of Economics, doc. Pavel Hnát presented the appointment decrees to the new associate professors. One of them was doc. Ing. Petr Janeček, Ph.D. from the Department of Tourism, who became an associate professor in the field of International Economic Relations with effect from 1 January 2023.
He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice in Economics and Management, specializing in Tourism. He received his Ph.D. from the Faculty of Economics of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen in 2017, where he studied the impact of destination management organisations on the development of business activities in the region. During his doctoral studies, he taught at the faculties of economics of the West Bohemian University and South Bohemian University. Since 2022 he has been working at the Faculty of International Relations of Prague University of Economics and Business. His main focus is on topics related to marketing and management in tourism and especially destinations. He is the author and co-author of several articles in professional journals, contributions to professional scientific conferences and monographs. He is a researcher or co-investigator of a number of projects focused on research or application of knowledge into practice. During his practice he lectured at several foreign universities (e.g. Faculty of Tourism Studies – TURISTICA, Faculty of Tourism – University of Maribor, University of Zielona Góra).
