Innovation in Education: Binance Academy and VŠE Accredited Course on Digital Assets and Blockchain Industry
Binance Academy, the educational platform of Binance, has announced the launch of new university-accredited programs. One of these is with the Prague University of Economics and Business.
Ing. Kareem I. Abdallah and Mgr. Ing. Jakub Jedlinský, PhD, from our Department of International Economic Relations, have prepared a 4-week course for Binance Academy, titled Digital Assets and Blockchain Industry. The course focuses on topics such as Bitcoin, the emergence and evolution of the crypto industry, insights into crypto’s current and future state, as well as the utility of cryptocurrencies and their effects on financial systems.
This initiative is part of Binance’s broader effort to provide quality education and resources for the cryptocurrency and blockchain community. The programs are designed to be accessible to a wide range of students, from beginners to advanced, covering various topics from the basics of cryptocurrencies to more complex concepts such as smart contract development and trading strategies.
For the crypto industry, this is a significant step as it signals the growing recognition and integration of cryptocurrencies into the traditional educational system.
Mgr. Ing. Jakub Jedlinský, Ph.D.
He has been an assistant professor in the department since 2016. He defended his dissertation on an alternative view of the EU monetary system: exploring using dynamic SFC models. At the Department, he leads seminars of International Economics 2 and lectures specialized courses focused on cryptocurrencies.
Ing. Kareem I. Abdallah
He is adept in technical analysis of cryptocurrencies, and joined the Faculty of International Relations in 2023, bringing a blend of data analysis skills and macroeconomic knowledge. His doctoral research focuses on quantifying natural interest rates. In his teaching, Kareem leads seminars on International Economy and specialized courses in Bitcoin, Blockchain, and Digital Assets.
