FIR at Karlštejn: connecting FIR community

International and Diplomatic Studies students had a fantastic experience last Saturday, 22nd April 2023, as they joined the IDS academic director, Mr Jan Rolenc, on a trip to the Karlštejn Castle near Prague.  

The “Where Charles IV Walked” event brought together students from diverse backgrounds and countries, including Albania, India, Turkey, Hong Kong, the USA, and France. It was indeed a unique opportunity for cultural exchange and cross-cultural learning. Our students had the chance to explore the castle where the King of Bohemia once lived. 

Not only did they learn about the castle’s history, but they also received a light snack and a diploma for participating. It was an excellent opportunity for our students to learn, explore and make new and international friends. 

We were happy to hear that everyone had a great time and consider the event a success! We look forward to more opportunities for our students to explore new places, meet new people, and learn about different cultures.
