Doc. Pavel Hnát was appointed the Vice-Rector of Prague University of Economics and Business
On Monday 4th March, doc. Ing. Pavel Hnát, Ph.D. was appointed the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Quality Management, and the Statutory Deputy of the Rector. He will become a member of the new team of doc. Petr Dvořák, who has replaced prof. Hana Machková. Prof. Machková will become the Deputy Vice-Rector for International Relations.
Doc. Pavel Hnát worked as the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs at the Faculty of International Relations of Prague University of Economics and Business since 2012. He is a member of the Department of International Economic Relations. During his tenure, the Faculty went through a significant development. One of his greatest successes is the internship system that FIR included into the study plans and offers internships in cooperation with CzechTrade and other institutions all around the world.
Doc. Hnát graduated from the International Business program at FIR. He defended his dissertation thesis in European studies in the Department of International Economics. He is and was one of the investigators of various projects of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic: Currently he works on the project called the Regional Communication of Chairmanship and Cooperation with Schools. He evaluates economic subjects in the National Accreditation Office and visited Miami University in the USA and Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria as a host professor.
HHe is the author and co-author of 5 book monographs, 7 articles in the Web of Science and SCOPUS databases and a number of papers in domestic and foreign monographs, professional journals and conference proceedings. Doc. Hnát also frequently speaks as an expert in media, for instance in the Czech TV channel ČT24 in broadcasts focused on international economics. He speaks English, German, and Spanish.
