375 km Day and Night: Faculty Team Conquers the Vltava Run 2026
Joining forces, running nonstop, and covering more than 375 kilometres from Šumava to Prague. The team from the Faculty of International Relations, which included not only students but also the head of the Department of Business and European Law, Associate Professor JUDr. Ing. Tomáš Moravec, Ph.D., successfully completed one of the most famous and demanding relay races in the Czech Republic—the Vltava Run 2026.
Every year, the Vltava Run tests not only the runners’ physical fitness but also their teamwork, organization, and resilience. The race is run continuously day and night and is divided into 36 legs among the individual team members. The route leads from Zadov through the Šumava National Park, past the Vltava dams, historic towns, and villages in South and Central Bohemia, offering a unique combination of athletic performance and an extraordinary experience.
The team’s participation was a great representation of the faculty and, at the same time, proof that students and faculty can join forces not only in an academic setting but also during extraordinary sporting challenges. We congratulate the entire team on this exceptional performance and perseverance!
