The French ambassador presented during the FIR World Economy course
On April the 12th, the FIR welcomed the ambassador of France, Alexis Dutertre. His Excellency presented in English the topic of ´Priorities of the French chairmanship in the Council of the European Union´ for students of the World Economy course.
“His Excellency summarized and explained the priorities of the upcoming French chairmanship during His presentation and reacted to the questions students and participants of the debate asked. Some of them were asked in French and were directed mainly to the issue of the foreign policy, the governance of justice and relations between the countries of the chairmanship-trio,” commented doc. Pavel Hnát, the guarantor of the course and vice-dean of the faculty.
“The lecture framed topics of the European economic integration, which should be covered soon within the course. It was a very relevant event also for the ongoing TAČR project, the research some of the FIR academicians are involved in,” added doc. Hnát.
During the visit of the French ambassador, His Excellency signed the university guestbook and met Hana Machková, the rector of the Prague University of Economics and Business.
