The Third Place in the PwC Consulting Challenge Was Taken by a FIR Student With Her Team
The second year of the PwC Consulting Challenge focused on technology consulting, took place in an unconventional online environment this year. The participants faced solving a real challenge of the Finnish delivery company Wolt, namely regional expansion on the Czech market. In one week, participants had to come up with an overall go-to-market strategy. By connecting business with technology, students tried to ensure the overall simplification and streamlining of the entire process from ordering to delivery.
The team, consisting of Julie Janáková, Martin Rampa, Nikola Lomenčíková and Matúš Káčer, got out of almost 100 teams into the final round among the top 10 and placed 3rd. The best teams presented the case study solution to the jury, which consisted of the top management of both companies.
Julie, an FIR student, talks about the challenge: “It was the first participation in the consulting competition for all of us, and therefore a great experience from which we gained a lot of new things. The work of all participants was at a high level, and above all a great inspiration for our further improvement. The placement in third place was then a sweet spot for our several days of work. I would definitely recommend all students to participate in similar competitions and projects in the next years and not be afraid to push their limits! I don’t think I will speak for myself when I write that participation brought me not only new contacts and experiences, but also unforgettable memories. “
The Faculty of International Relations congratulates students and wishes further success in the future.
