Přemysl Průša appointed to the Board of Directors of SOCR for the next five years

On 15 May 2024, the General Meeting of the Union of Commerce and Tourism was held, where the new management of SOCR, including the Board of Directors, was elected.

Doc. Ing. Přemysl Průša, Ph.D., (from the Department of International Business, FIR) will be a member of the Board of Directors (and a representative of the Prague University of Economics and Business) for the next five years. In this way, FIR VŠE continues to maintain and strengthen its contact with major institutions and companies in the retail market in the Czech Republic.

The Union of Trade and Tourism is the top representative of Czech trade and tourism. It is respected by the professional public, state institutions and professional European organisations.

Doc. Ing. Přemysl Průša, Ph.D.

Doc. Ing. Přemysl Průša, Ph.D., has been working at Prague Univesity of Economics and Business, since 2005 as an assistant professor, and since 2020 as an associate professor. He is mainly focused on commercial communications, branding and retail marketing. He is involved in teaching the key compulsory subjects of Retail business, Retail marketing and Retail management in the Bachelor’s degree programme International Business in Czech and English. He is also a visiting professor at the University of Northern Colorado in the USA and other universities abroad (Spain, Ireland, Austria). In addition to branding, his research interests include corporate social responsibility, green marketing and sustainability.
