FIR Experts start a new project of TACR: Presidency Trio in the Council of the European Union: What to expect from our partners?
Starting February 15, 2021, a team composed of experts from the Department of International and Diplomatic Studies, the Department of International Economic Relations, and the Department of International Economic Relations, Technical University of Ostrava conducts research for a project Presidency Trio of the Council of the European Union: what can be expected from our partners?
The project is a public procurement supported by the Technological Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) within the program BETA2.
Aim of the project
“The project seeks to identify what content of a joint programme prepared by the next presidency trio FR-CZ-SE would accurately reflect preliminary national priorities of concerned Member States; with regard to recommendations for CZ raised during negotiations of the joint programme. Thus, the sub-goals of the project are: preliminary identification of the main national priorities of the trio and their possible negotiating positions; identification of possible common areas, which should be emphasised during the preparation of the joint programme (along with a proposition of controversial areas that should be avoided); formulation of an overview of the positions of France and Sweden on areas expected to be priorities for the Czech Republic (identification of “friction areas” and areas of possible cooperation).”
