To dr. Otakar Volenec

On 17^th November 2017 died long-time member of Jan Masaryk Centre of International Studies, PhDr. Otakar Volenec, CSc.

He belonged to teachers, who were able to awaken an interest in various aspects of international relations in students. This profession wasn’t just his occupation, it was hobby as well. He passionately discussed world affairs and consistently defended his anti-communist attitude.  Students were surprised by his encyclopaedic knowledge, which he liked sharing with them. Honour to his memory.
