An associate professor of economics, the dean of College of Finance and Economics of Kozminski University of Warsava and the Science Director of TIGER Research Centre for Transformation, Integration and Globalization, prof. Jacek Tomkiewicz will lead a lecture at FIR.

  • 9. 5. 11:00-12:30, NB B (Monday): World Economy, topic: Current economic situation in Poland in the context of EU membership + Q&A

Professor Jacek Tomkiewicz is Associate Professor of Economics in Kozminski University, Dean of the College of Finance and Economics, and Scientific Director at the TIGER Research Center for Transformation, Integration, and Globalization. In 2002–2003, he served as an advisor to the Minister of Finance and was responsible for structural reforms in the public finance system. In 2009–2019, he lectured at the European Center of Managing Public Finance of the European Institute of Public Administration. He was a Visiting Scholar in such institutions as Stanford University, Columbia University, and Harvard University in the USA, but also the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris, France. Tomkiewicz is Visiting Professor in several European universities. He authored publications in the field of macroeconomics and public finance, along with expert opinions commissioned by private and public institutions.
