Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, prof. Taušer, manager for international accreditations, prof. Štěrbová and the president of the University of Economics, Prague, professor Machková attended on December 12, 2016 a meeting of a consortium of universities, which have been granted a prestigious EPAS accreditation for their International Business programs.

The aim of this consortium is to enhance both pedagogical and research collaborations in the field of international business among the universities that have been awarded with the EPAS accreditation by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). The most discussed issue concerned the double degree programs, which enable students of master programs to obtain two different university diplomas in two different countries. University of Economics, Prague, has a positive experience with such initiative within its International Business – Central European Business Realities program. It enables its students to study for a year at one of seven partner universities. This is why the academic director of this program, prof. Štěrbová (who is also the president of Consortium of International Double Degrees – CIDD) became the main speaker of the meeting. The aim of the dean Taušer is to offer this opportunity also to a limited number of the Czech taught International business program. He also supported the idea of cooperation in doctoral programs and of an award to the best master theses in the field of international business.

University of Economics, Prague is a founding member of the consortium, which currently links six universities from five countries:

The Czech Republic – Faculty of International Relations, University of Economics, Prague

Finland - Lut School Of Business & Management, Lappeenranta University of Technology

Finland - Department of Management, Vaasa University

France - Iaelyon School of Management, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3

Latvia – Riseba, University Of Business, Arts and Technology

United Kingdom - Shefffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University
