FIR alumni Dita Charanzová elected to the European Parliament

dita-charanzova 00001823.pngIng. Dita Charanzová, Ph.D., alumni of the Faculty of International Relations, was elected to the European Parliament as an independent candidate on behalf of the political movement ANO in this year's elections held in May.

Dita Charanzová holds a doctorate degree from Jan Masaryk Centre of International Studies. In her dissertation thesis she was focusing on the EU institutions and their reforms.

Afterwards, she was working in diplomacy, where she participated in preparation of the accession of the Czech Republic to the EU. During the Czech EU Presidency, Mrs. Charanzová led the The Trade Policy Committee and was leading a team at the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic at the EU focusing on trade and development policy. Currently she has been working as a manager of a TV studio at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
