The Faculty of International Relations invites its alumni to attend the regular meeting.

The event will be held on 10th April 2014 at 6 PM in room RB212.

Initially, the alumni will be greeted by doc. Ing. Štěpán Müller, CSc., Dean of FIR.

The expert lecture on the topic of negotiations of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership will be delivered by Mr. JUDr. Richard Hlavatý, Director of Department of Foreign-Economic Policies II at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership EU-USA (TTIP) aims to significantly liberalize mutual trade and investment. Its ambition is to become the most significant bilateral trade agreement in the history. Moreover, TTIP involves also an essential political and strategic aspect related to additional strengthening of the transatlantic cooperation. What challenges is the Czech Republic and the Czech economy about to face with regard to this partnership? What priorities should be highlighted by the Czech government? What potential benefits and possible risks may TTIP represent?

After the lecture, the alumni are welcome to stay for an informal get-together. Refreshments will be served.

This event is organized together with the Development and Conselling Centre at the University of Economics in Prague. It is held in Czech and is free of charge.
