In its research activities, the department concentrates on business in both the national and the international context, i.e. large retailing firms. Apart from the emphasis on the dynamically growing large capacity production units and outlets for a wide assortment of goods, the department examines the position of retail outlets in relation to large shopping centres. Another area that the department is interested in is that of commercial (or business) communication in today’s world with its high level information technologies.
