IDS student attended the 23rd session of the Youth Assembly in New York

Between 15th – 17th February, one of our ‘International and Diplomatic Studies’ master’s degree student who is the Founder of The International Students’ Forum and the University Student’s Ambassador attended the 23rd session of the Youth Assembly organized by the Friendship Ambassadors Foundation in New York, United States of America.

During the 23rd session, more than 900 young global leaders from over 90 countries flew into New York to meet, discuss and address global issues and challenges. The theme for the 23rd session was “Empowering Youth for Global Development”.

Highlights from the 23rd session included a Keynote Speech by Dr. Andrew Macdonald (Executive Director, Friendship Ambassadors Foundation), H.E. Ms. Simona-Mirela Miculescu (Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of UN Office in Belgrade), Haoliang Xu (Assistant Secretary-General of United Nations), Satya S. Tripathi (Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations), numerous sessions to engage, tackle and solve global issues, participation from numerous government/non-government agencies, firms, companies etc.
