FIR participated in the Night of Scientists with the programme: „It is time to stop food wasting.“

At the end of September, the first Night of the Scientists event took place at Prague University of Economics and Business, where the Faculty of International Relations was represented by the programme of the Department of International Business: “It is time to stop food wasting.”.

The whole evening was dedicated to the issue of food waste. Visitors could have found out, how to read data listed on food packaging (možná bez členu) or how to easily measure how much four-member family produces food waste in comparison to other Czech households. At the exhibition stand of the Department, its deputies Ing. Veronika Mokrejšová, Ph.D., Ing. Mg. Tomáš Sadílek, Ph.D., Ing. Alena Filipová, Ph.D. and Ing. Jiří Zeman, Ph.D. were providing tips how to reduce our daily wasting. The whole programme was enriched with the expositions with the research data and games for participants of the event.

In case you couldn´t visit the Department´s exhibition stand within the Night of the Scientists, look at the photo gallery where you can see how much food can an average Czech family throw away in a week and how can quality of food differ according to the expiration date.

We are looking forward to seeing you during the Night of the Scientist 2022!
