Best Student Projects for ŠKODA AUTO in the Course International Marketing

Students could enjoy the benefits of the very successful cooperation with the company ŠKODA AUTO within the course International Marketing (2MO401/2MO431) also during the winter semester 2022/2023. Students worked throughout the semester in teams on projects assigned by ŠKODA AUTO and supervised by Ing. Markéta Lhotáková, Ph.D. and Andrea Escobar Ríos, Doctora en Ciencias. One from many project assignments could be chosen. Assignments focused especially on the Czech market, e-mobility, the target group of young people, and strategies for entering potential markets.

On January 12th, 2023, the best teams were invited to present the results of their work not only to other students and the teachers of the course, Ing. Peter Král, Ph.D.  and Ing. Květa Olšanová, Ph.D. but also to representatives of ŠKODA AUTO: Petr Janeb (Head of Sales China, Asia, and Overseas), Libor Šedivák (Head of Marketing in the Czech Republic), Karolina Kapounová (Sales Specialist), Ondřej Švást (Country Manager Australia and New Zealand) and Natalie O’Brien (Marketing Manager at ŠKODA New Zealand).

Presentations of the best projects took place on the premises of ŠKODA AUTO in Prague. The students demonstrated the ability to work in international teams, conduct extensive market research and bring interesting ideas, many of which, according to ŠKODA AUTO representatives, will definitely be usable in practice.

The winning teams were made up of the following students: Markéta Juchelková, Tatiana Larišová, Niklas Siewert, David Mićević, Karolína Bartošíková, Michaela Klimková, Daniela Doubková, Ellen Pettersson, Clara Bechikh, Štěpán Červený, Tereza Kučerová, Miroslav Uhlik, Barbara Volfová, Jiří Beránek, Jan Mrkos, Jakub Křepelka, Barbora Hakrová, Martin Hulínský. In addition to the valuable feedback, students received also gifts from the company.

The course International Marketing (2MO401) is a compulsory course within the study program International Trade and the minor specialization International Business Strategies (under the ident 2MO521). Seminars are taught in English in mixed groups of Czech and international students. An important part of the course is always a team project developed in cooperation with a corporate partner, in which students solve a real task from a business environment.
