Alumni Wednesday FIR: Miroslav Zámečník and Ivan Jukl about BRICS

On Wednesday 7th September 2015 took place one of the evening in project Alumni Wednesday called Special Investing Evening. The topic was BRICS: Game Over or game continues? The tutors of the lecture were Miroslav Zámečník and Ivan Jukl from Economic Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Miroslav Zámečník was born on 24th February 1962 and works as economic consultant. He had been the member (2009) and later also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Czech Airlines. As a member of the National Economic Council of the Government (NERV) used to work on anti-crisis measures. Since year 2001 he works as an economic consultant in financial restructuring and reorganization of insolvent businesses, corporate mergers and acquisitions.

Second field of his specialization is issues of health systems, financing and health economics. He also works as a lecturer in postgraduate education programs (the Judicial Academy, the Czech Managerial Center) and lectures both in the Czech Republic and abroad. In the past, for example, he was the head of the Center for Economic Analysis in the office of President Vaclav Havel, a negotiator of the Central European Free Trade Zone, was a representative of the Czech Republic at the World Bank and Deputy Director of Konsolidační banka.

Miroslav Zámečník finished the University of Economics, Prague in year 1984 and continued with studying on Georgetown University in Washington, field of study International Relations.
