They have a long tradition and therefore belong to highly regarded events at the faculty. They were organized by the Department of World Economy and Jan Masaryk Centre for International Studies.

The first one Central and Eastern Europe in the Changing Business Environment Conference was jointly organized by the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Economics in Prague and by the Faculty of Commerce of the University of Economics in Bratislava. It took place on Friday, 27 May 2016 as the 16th edition of this event. One of its part was a plenary section presented in Slovakia as a videoconference. This section consisted of three lectures by Pavel Sobíšek, Chief Economist at UniCredit Bank CZ and SK, Petra Průšová, Managing Director Central Europe at Millward Brown and Pavol Minár, Chief Strategist at media company Istropolitana Oglivy.

Other three specialized sections followed in the afternoon, more specifically in the areas of International Trade and International Finance, International Business and Management and International Marketing and Consumer Behaviour. All contributions were independently and repeatedly reviewed and subsequently published in the proceedings. The aim of organizers is to index the proceedings as soon as possible in a recognized database. There have been many changes in the conference in the last 16 years such as broadening the international engagement and holding the conference in English. More to be found here.

In the days 26 – 27 May 2016, there was also held the 20th edition of International Conference of Young Scholars, this time with the title ‟Shifting Balances of International Relations”.
